  Daniel Barth, from Ursula Sherman Village spoke to our club today, sharing with us the programs for homeless individuals and families offered there.

   Carol Newborg spoke to us about the Prison Art Project and the BARSHEEP membership chair gave us some excellent suggestions on recruiting new members

  District Governor, Steve Lack and his wife visited us   today.  Pam Jones was also there to talk about membership.

Rotarians Howard and Mike spent the afternoon replacing the slats on benches on Solano Ave. A new coat of paint awaits these benches.

  Special day for Albany Rotary. Ravi Kapoor, from the Rotary Club of Pune Central (India) visited and brought us a flag from his club. He also told us some of the exciting things they are doing. Liam Kelly from the City of Albany spoke about street painting projects in various cities.

    Local journalist, Mary Flaherty, shared her experiences in the news business with us today.

  We started our year off with a bang.  Rania Ahmed,Secretary/Treasurer  of the UC Village Residents Association, shared her experiences with Rotary in Egypt and also the great work she is doing with the VRA.  She also spoke about the current situation in Egypt.  Long time Albany Rotarian, Erik Eichner, received his Paul Harris Fellow.
